Overview

With a peaceful position overlooking the River Garry, this friendly hotel is an ideal base from which to explore the Scottish Highlands.

Between Fort William and the Nevis Range, Inverness, the west coast and Skye, the Invergarry Hotel is based at the historic home of the Ancient Clan Macdonnell.

Built in 1885, the hotel was originally an old stagecoach inn. It has since been used as a sporting and shooting lodge before being transformed into a hotel, complete with residents’ lounge and private gardens.

Steeped in history and character, the hotel provides traditional Highland hospitality, welcoming log fires, fresh local food, real ales from the Isle of Skye and a large range of wines and Highland whiskies.

Dinner is served at the Invergarry Hotel and guests can choose from an extensive menu.

Hotel information	All rooms are accessed by stairs. Invergarry Hotel is an old building and so does not have any lifts.

Room information	All rooms are en suite and have views over the gardens or the River Garry. The classic rooms are larger rooms.

Food & beverage	Food is offered in the informal Bar/Restaurant. You can choose from an extensive menu of bistro bar food. The entire menu is based on local food purchased from local suppliers, freshly prepared on site by the team of chefs under the supervision of Head Chef James Murphy. Highland game, seafood and fish caught off the West Coast of Scotland, meats from Lochaber and Aberdeenshire and homemade baked goods all appear on the menu regularly. A choice of whiskies and ales accompany the meals. Please note that this will not suit customers looking for formal surroundings or formal dining.

Area information	Loch Ness and Fort Augustus are 7 miles (11.3 km) away. Ben Nevis and the Nevis Range are a 20-minute drive away, and Fort William and Glen Affric are a 30-minute drive. Eileen Donan Castle can be reached in 40 minutes and Inverness in 1 hour. Water sports, white-water rafting, canyoning, quad biking, kayaking, paint balling, mountaineering, skiing, shooting and stalking can be arranged for you by the hotel (at an additional cost).

Inverness Airport is 1 hour and 10 minutes away by car. Transport can be arranged for collection from and delivery to the airport.

By Rail
Spean Bridge and Fort William have links to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Both Spean Bridge and Fort William stations are 30 minutes’ drive from the hotel. Collection can be arranged.

By Bus:
Citylink buses stop outside the hotel for links to Glasgow, Inverness, Fort William and the Isle of Skye
